To reduce hacking of the slack account, domains will be white-listed (e.g. labs and Universities).  We started with all the domains present in the most recent DPF members list.  However, server addresses sometimes change and if you cannot get in with a bona fide institutional email, please let us know by filling out this [https://docs.google.com/spreadsheets/d/1Rl-GaMeTvFGhj6FwmGGnyEmp_RDhN00gmCfcIFNTPlc/edit?usp=sharing| google form] and we will add it.

Input from the slack channel will be incorporated into revisions to the frontiers and topics as we proceed.  However, these changes will occur only on this wiki, which represents a living document. Revision as of 22:53, 11 December 2019

Welcome to the Snowmass 2021 Wiki! Until we have conveners in place, this wiki will be edited by the DPF exec. For discussions and input from the general community, please use the open-access slack channel shown near the Cat-in-the-box.

As conveners are chosen, they will be given permission to edit the wiki, create subtopics, and generally conduct business necessary for their Frontier. Anyone seeking editing privileges at that time will need to have a FNAL service account.

As an APS-sponsored process, we will abide by the code of conduct for all meetings. This wiki is also part of the process, so in our conversations here we pledge to conduct ourselves in a professional manner that is welcoming to all participants and free from any form of discrimination, harassment, or retaliation. Participants will treat each other with respect and consideration.

The Snowmass Community Planning Process

The Snowmass Process is organized by the Division of Particles and Fields of the APS. In order to coordinate efforts across divisions, a steering committee consisting of the DPF executive committee with representatives from the executive committees of DAP, DPB, DNP, and DGRAV will meet regularly. Snowmass is an opportunity for the entire HEP community to come together to identify and document a vision for the future of particle physics in the U.S. and its international partners. Workshops will be organized over the next couple years, culminating in a 2021 summer session that pulls all the work together. Snowmass provides input to the HEPAP prioritization panel (P5), which in turn provides advice under a set of funding scenarios to the agencies on future projects and scientific programs.
